How it works

By applying artificial intelligence video analytics, Sentinel can detect people standing in front of the camera, and provide the precise location of each person with an accuracy of 5-10 cm.

Requirements

Sentinel just requires common CCTV cameras installed in the areas to monitor: if you need to analyze the line at the security checkpoint inside an airport, or if you need to monitor the queue at the cashier of a grocery store, you just have to install cameras in that space. Almost any CCTV camera can work, as long as the quality of the images is good enough and the video can be accessed by the server where Sentinel run. This can be a local on-premise server or Accuware’s cloud server, based on Amazon AWS: the server can analyze the video stream in real time and provide the information about the people detected.

Integration of Queue management

Sentinel gives access to raw data: this includes the information about the people detected and their location. You can use this data to count the number of people in line, and to monitor the length of the queue. Sentinel provides API so that the data can be easily used by external applications and can be analyzed and processed to get the right business intelligence metrics required.
